Artemis Fowl

The Artemis Fowl Series by Eoin Colfer

Overview

Magic meets technology in this clever, fast-paced fantasy adventure series where a young criminal mastermind takes on the hidden world of fairies, elves, and high-tech mischief beneath the surface of modern Earth.

About the Series

Written by Irish author Eoin Colfer, The Artemis Fowl series is a brilliantly inventive mix of fantasy, science fiction, and adventure. The books follow Artemis Fowl II, a 12-year-old genius and self-proclaimed criminal mastermind, who discovers the existence of a secret underground civilisation — the world of the fairies.

What begins as a scheme to restore his family’s fortune soon turns into a series of daring escapades that blur the line between hero and villain. With the help of loyal bodyguard Butler, Artemis becomes entangled with the LEP (Lower Elements Police) — especially the brave and resourceful Captain Holly Short. Together, they face trolls, time travel, and interspecies chaos in a battle of brains, bravery, and moral growth.

Eoin Colfer’s witty, fast-paced writing and imaginative world-building have earned the series global acclaim. Loved by both young readers and adults, Artemis Fowl combines humour, heart, and adventure in a story that celebrates intelligence, loyalty, and redemption.
